Hello, I’m Billy. I’m an illustrator, artist, and writer. But my wife calls me as a “complete weirdo” and my oldest son says I’m a “strange daddy” and my close friend Christy insists I’m a “moody bitch.” No matter what you call me, I’d love to work with you.

I’m a native Southerner who lives in Nashville, TN with my family. When I’m not creating art, I enjoy trips to the zoo with my wild-ass kids to visit the African porcupines and Komodo dragons. My guilty pleasures are true crime documentaries and collecting an absurd amount of art supplies.

From editorial illustration to map making to stickers to posters, I’ll help you and your organization communicate its message. I like to work with a variety of materials such as colored pencils, pastels, graphite, and gouache. Another interest of mine is making art with reused materials from Turnip Green Creative Reuse, a place I consider sacred. Occasionally, I lead workshops in their studio on reuse bookbinding and LEGO printmaking. It’s so much fun!

In addition to illustration and reuse art, I’m a writer with articles and essays published in The Washington Post, Narratively, Tennessean, Tennessee Lookout, Yahoo Life, Fatherly, and Chapter 16.
